5 FACTS WHEN CHOOSING CARE COSMETICS
We are offered many brands, names, and applications of cosmetics. How can you choose the right cosmetics for you, and what should you look for when choosing? Here are some tips from the practice of cosmetics manufacturing that will help you understand when buying a new cream.
The most important thing when choosing cosmetics is the composition.
Of course, few of you pay attention to this element of the label. But it is very important! It is the composition of the cosmetics that can determine how natural and "harmless" the manufacturer offers. The composition of cosmetics is listed in a descending order, i.e. first the ingredient with the highest amount of ingredients, etc. As a rule, water comes first, followed by silicones such as phenyltrimethicone or dimethicone, stabilisers, thickeners, emulsifiers, preservatives, and only then can we see oils, moisturising components, extracts, vitamins, and perfume compositions or fragrances.
Choose high-quality products of Mak&Malvy cosmetics.
Shelf life
For healthy cosmetics, the optimal shelf life is 6-8 months from the date of use. If the manufacturer writes 100% natural on the label and the shelf life is 18-36 months, this cosmetics cannot be natural for the following reasons. Firstly, the shelf life of cosmetics cannot be longer than the shelf life of all its ingredients. As a rule, natural oils have a shelf life of no more than 1 year. Secondly, the composition of these cosmetics has a large percentage of preservatives and stabilisers, which ensure the stability of the product and its long shelf life, but at the same time have a negative impact on our skin.
Storage conditions
All natural cosmetics should be stored in a cool, dry place at a temperature of 2-10 degrees, i.e. in the refrigerator.
Smell
Natural cosmetics, as a rule, do not contain fragrances and flavours. These components are unacceptable for face care cosmetics. Natural cosmetics usually contain essential oils, which should be selected individually for each skin type.
Each cream should solve the problems of its intended use, moisturise or nourish the skin, eliminate oily sheen or fight rosacea, etc. A cream with the label "For all skin types" will not be able to solve the problem if you want to remove wrinkles or lighten age spots.
So, now when choosing cosmetics, you know what to look for and what to refrain from buying. Of course, natural cosmetics should be bought in specialised stores or ordered individually.
